What have we been up to and upcoming events!

The year is absolutely flying by, and we have hit November already.  We have been busy again the last few weeks with some nice permissions having come through so I thought we would give you a little update on these so you can see what we have been up to as, as my old friend Barry used to say, people ask “’you been busy?!”.

Recent permissions include:

  • Change of use of part of a Grade II listed building from residential to Financial and Professional Services (Use Class E);
  • Change of use of part of a Grade II listed building from Financial and Professional Services (Use Class E) to a single residential dwelling;
  • Change of use of land from agricultural to equestrian, erection of stabling and a new access;
  • Full planning and listed building consent for subdivision of a Mill into six residential units (net gain of five);
  • Full planning permission for demolition of an existing dwelling and erection of five new residential dwellings;
  • Two new agricultural buildings (one through full planning and one through a 28-day prior notification) – one with solar panels;
  • Certificate of Lawfulness for stationing of a mobile home;
  • Full and listed building consent for change of use of an agricultural building to a residential unit including a new glazed link between buildings.

These have been across several Councils/areas including Chester and Cheshire West, Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Wychavon, Buckinghamshire and Malvern Hills.

In addition to this we have:

  • Undertaken probate valuations of varying properties including residential as well as a farm;
  • Completed several development appraisals including one into Dorset! (Purbeck District Council);
  • Completed planning statements and appeal statements to support architect submissions including for a Class AA proposal, a new access and a new dwelling;
  • Advised clients on non-material amendment routes for a residential scheme;
  • Advised clients on objections to neighbouring schemes;
  • Advised on contract farming agreements with ongoing advice as to potential clay extraction sites on a small estate;
  • Started work on new schemes including a 30ha solar farm for submission in 2023.

We are very much involved in a wide variety of matters which, in planning terms, covers several different Councils so we remain very well placed to assist you from start to finish on projects as a result of qualification as surveyors, valuers and a planner.  If you think we can help, or just fancy an initial chat remember you can book a 15-minute mini chat through the contact page to see if we can help you (I (Eleni) am doing two of these today!).

We also have a few events this month and look forward to seeing you all, these are:

  • Women of the Future Awards, London (9th November) – Eleni is a finalist in the professions category;
  • Your Horse Live (11 – 13th November)– we have a stand in the marquee (M782) (where we will have a special offer for enquiries received that day, as well as lots of chocolate and a new leaflet series for equestrian advice so come and see us!);
  • RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence (30th November) – we are national finalists for Best Small Planning Consultancy of the Year having won at the West Midlands awards in June this year.

We look forward to catching up with a few of you at these events and wish you all the best of luck for the remainder of 2022, as we are sure it will fly by!
