Having spent the last four and a half years trying to secure planning approval I would like to think I have learned a thing or two about its processes and how to get things done. We kissed some frogs in the form of large planning companies, who promised the earth and delivered no results apart from expensive invoices. We literally were at the last chance saloon and  our final roll of the dice.

Fortunately, we were put in touch with Eleni Randle at Eldnar consultancy, who from the off spoke to us in a completely different way. Eleni clearly knew her stuff, clearly discussing if things were either unlikely to achieve a positive outcome or simply would be a waste of time pursuing. And when things started to look a little challenging, she steered us confidently and with assertion head on in to the storm and using her considerable depth of knowledge of planning routes, achieved everything we had applied for.

I would have no reservations in recommending Eldnar Consultancy to act as a planning advisor and would actually implore anyone thinking of going for planning to speak to them first to get a good idea if what they would like to do is achievable and how to present the strongest case. If we had it definitely would have saved us a lot of both time and money.

I needed a certificate of lawful development for a cabin, and was recommended Eldnar by a planning barrister. Brilliant, rapid service, great communication, approachable and plain-English explanations, and super-reasonable costs which were explained up-front. Plus, what a lovely dog. What more could you want?

Eleni has supported me with the Class Q- permitted development planning process since early 2021, she has been responsive and has extensive knowledge within her field of work . Eleni and Beth who has joined Eldnar Consultancy have kept me up to date with the process and discussed options that I have and I am now pleased to say that I now have approval to convert a lovely green cow shed into my home . Lots of work has happened and even more work lies ahead but looking forward to the adventure , design and build.

Eleni submitted our two agricultural permitted development applications side by side for us. She was involved from the start, giving us advice, drawing up the plans and also getting elevational drawings organised for us when they were requested.  Without Eleni, I don’t think we would have got this through planning on our own; it got complicated at times, and her planning advice, knowledge and understanding for the agricultural sector is just pure gold.
